The Reverend Andrew Johnson

As Vicar, I would like to introduce myself to you. I am married to Pauline, who is a practising Roman Catholic, and we have one son.

I grew up in South London and worked in the Family Division of the Law Courts on the Strand. Subsequently I trained for the Ordained Ministry at St. John's College in Nottingham.

I am an Open-Evangelical in terms of Churchmanship and Christian Tradition. I believe that theology, the study of religion and religious belief should be a dialogue between Scripture, tradition and human experience. I also believe that we should be willing to listen to what other Christian traditions have to say, both within the Church of England and outside it.

I am a committed Ecumenist and seek to promote closer links and cooperation between all Christian denominations. My responsibilities also include the Parish of St. Andrews, Purlwell, with which All Saints is a joint benefice.

I look forward to seeing you in Church soon.

Andrew
